| | It`s not an easy job to write about yourself, you want to tell about your cats, cattery, you want to describe the best what you`ve got.
We are rather "fresh" breeders – we breed our cats for four years. On the one hand, these years seem to make half of our life, from the other hand, they passed like three days. We visited various places, learned, experienced the birth of kittens, and we are happy that these years were spent not in vain. We have good results, we can say – success, our pets won at championships in Russia and abroad. Cats and kittens did their best, they tried and gained brilliant results. We found many new cat lovers, who are interested in Don Sphynx and follow the rules and concepts of the breeders.
Obviously you know that you`ve got to undertake a lot efforts and to have enormous patience to create a new breed. But Don Sphynx is not a developed breed, it was created by nature! It`s a great honor of our Russian breed. We have to be very careful to maintain the purity of the breed, to protect and save Don Sphynx. We don`t have the right to change what was made by nature.

| I follow strict rules for maintaining pure breeding line. What does it mean? The Don Sphynx BREEDING STADARD allows to add only European short-haired and Siberian cat breeds. These breeds stand too close to Don Sphynx. In case you add Siamese-Oriental blood – you`ll get a different breed, it`s Peterbald. I prefer Don Sphynx, i.e. the pure breed, the original one. That`s what I practice.
We follow the strict selection of pairs for birth of kittens. We do not make mixes of hairless born with hairless born – it will result in stepwise degradation of the breed: the cats will have defected bite, low viability and there will be trend for cat size digression. Though some may say that we are losing something as such mixes produce funny hairless kittens, which is very good in terms of commerce.
We have breeders of various independent blood lines.
We managed to get a very lovely coloring, we call it "Arlekin". The cat is 18 months old and we are working with it. We have male breeder Zurbagan and very beautiful female cat Bella Donna. The both cats are bicolors and they are very perspective. There is one more achievement, we have two cats of red and white coloring. The whitish female cat has got amazing green eyes!

| A bulk of our job is participation in the shows. We actively partake in exhibitions and championships, so we are not sitting at home breeding kittens in comfort. In average our cats participate in more than ten exhibitions a year, we are taking them abroad and to international exhibitions in Russia. The participation is an exhibition is not just a show as it may seem on the flat side. Not everyone can comprehend the scope of activities that breeder has to undertake from the moment the kitten is born and till the time it`s getting the title of World Champion. You can precisely notice the level of preparation of an animal at the exhibition when you compare the cat with its counterparts. The statements made by experts, the information exchange with the other breeders – it enables you to make a better assessment of the advantages of your pet or sometimes of its disadvantages. You can`t help – it`s a sound competition. Exhibitions help you to get an independent assessment of your activities and to introduce the required corrections. When your cat is participating in the BEST in SHOW and wins – is it not the best assessment and approval of your work by the experts!
We maintain relationship with the breeders and clubs in Russia, CIS countries and foreign countries.
Our cattery "My Joy" was awarded with a rosette from Irina Nemikina, the founder of Don Sphynx breed.
| The section "EXHIBITIONS" represents the achievements of the latest shows of "My Joy" cattery, pictures from the exhibitions and information about the next shows. The section MALE and FEMALE enables you to evaluate the achievements of individual cats of my cattery. The best achievements were made by she-cat "Nechayannay Radost". She made her way from BEST of BEST Junior up to the prestigious title World Champion and became the first among Don Sphynx breed to get this title. Her father Vitaz Myth was the first of Don Sphynx males to win World Championship. These are the first world champions in the breed!
